Which Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Is Right for Me?
A decision guide that begins with the concern you can see, then explains which treatment may be worth discussing and when to seek medical assessment.
Understand the pathway
Name the main concern
Flat brown pigmentation, surface roughness, enlarged-looking pores, indented texture, redness and loose skin can appear together. They are still different targets. Identify the one that most affects you, when it started, whether it changes and what you would consider a useful improvement.
Bring clear photos and list previous treatments, active products and medicines. The first step may be to stabilise inflammation or sun exposure before any procedure.

Mild Skin Laxity
RF may be discussed for suitable mild loss of firmness. Assessment establishes whether a non-invasive facial pathway matches your goal.
Uneven Texture or Shallow Scars
Microneedling may be considered after assessment of the skin, current acne activity and the type of textural change.
Surface Dullness
An M3 ultrasound facial or carbon facial may be explored for a fresher-looking complexion.
Dehydrated Appearance
M3 no-needle mesotherapy can be discussed for a hydrated-looking, refreshed complexion.
Localised Benign Spots
A NanoStar Y pigment assessment considers the nature of the mark before a treatment is selected.
Diffuse Redness or Photoageing
An IPL assessment at Horwich may be discussed for suitable superficial colour concerns. Confirm availability when booking.

Match expectations to the method
RF aims for gradual modest firmness, whereas a cosmetic facial may give a shorter-lived smoother or hydrated appearance. Microneedling has a distinct recovery period and a course is often considered for texture. Targeted pigment laser addresses selected lesions rather than overall skin ageing. IPL uses broad-spectrum light for suitable superficial colour concerns.
Ask what a treatment is expected to change, what it will not change, how many visits might be considered and which side effects could occur. A package price should follow suitability assessment, not drive the choice.

When to pause cosmetic treatment
Have a new or changing mole or pigmented spot, unexplained bleeding, rapidly spreading rash or suspected infection evaluated medically. If pigmentation may be melasma, an aggressive light or heat treatment may worsen it. Active severe acne and other inflammatory disease can need medical care.
Recent tanning, medication changes, pregnancy, impaired healing and a history of post-inflammatory pigmentation can change the plan or timing. Consultation and any required patch test help decide the safest next step.
Common questions
Questions patients ask
Can I combine treatments?
Sometimes, but the order and spacing need individual planning. Allow one treatment to heal and be reviewed before adding another.
Should I book a course first?
Book an assessment first if the concern has not been identified or you are unsure about suitability.
Does a carbon facial treat deep scars?
No. It is a surface-focused facial and should not be expected to correct deep or tethered scars.
