Pulsar Laser Studio · Chorley
Personalised treatment pathways for active acne, repeated breakouts, congestion, post-acne marks and suitable acne scarring at our Chorley clinic.
Active acne, flat red or brown marks and true textural scarring are different concerns. We assess what is present before deciding whether your plan should use NanoStar Y, another advanced skin treatment or a carefully sequenced combination.

One concern, different stages
Your assessment identifies the stage and type of concern so treatment is directed at what is actually present rather than treating every acne concern in the same way.

Treatment planning for suitable active breakouts, oiliness, blocked pores and congestion. Inflamed, severe or medically complex acne may require GP or dermatology support alongside or before cosmetic treatment.

Flat red or brown marks left after spots are not always true scars. Their colour, depth and your skin type determine whether a laser, rejuvenation or combined pathway is suitable.

NanoStar Y scar-focused rejuvenation may help improve the appearance of suitable acne scarring and uneven texture. Scar type and depth determine what improvement is realistic.
Book assessment →German-engineered active nanosecond technology
The Asclepion NanoStar Y is a German-engineered Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with 1064 nm and 532 nm wavelengths. With the appropriate fractional handpiece, it can be used for skin renewal and scar-focused rejuvenation.
NanoStar Y is not presented as one universal treatment for every stage of acne. Active breakouts may need a different or combined pathway, while post-acne pigmentation, redness and true textural scarring each require separate assessment.

Your treatment journey
Every plan begins with identifying whether the priority is active acne, post-acne marks, textural scarring or a combination.
We discuss the concern, its history, previous treatment, medication, sun exposure and your goals.
We identify what is present, assess your skin type and confirm whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate.
Where required, we patch test and explain the proposed treatment, course options, costs, risks and aftercare.
Progress is reviewed between sessions and the plan is adjusted according to your skin’s response.
Assessment-led treatment
Current spots, inflammation, oiliness and blocked pores are assessed first. Severe, cystic, rapidly worsening or medically complex acne may be referred for medical assessment.
Flat brown, grey-brown, pink or red marks may remain after acne settles. These can resemble scars but involve pigment or vascular change rather than a permanent indentation.
Indented, raised or tethered scars involve structural skin change. Different scar types respond differently, and a combined or alternative treatment may be more appropriate.
Some clients have active breakouts, marks and textural scarring together. Treatment is usually sequenced so active acne is controlled before scar-focused work is intensified.
Clear treatment costs
The correct pathway is confirmed during your assessment. Courses offer better value when repeated treatment is appropriate.

Before you book
Yes, but they require different assessment and may require different or sequenced treatments. Active breakouts are addressed first, while post-acne marks and scar texture are treated according to their type and suitability.
NanoStar Y is principally used within suitable pigment, rejuvenation and scar-focused pathways. Active acne may require another or combined Pulsar skin treatment, which is why every client begins with an assessment.
With the appropriate fractional treatment approach, NanoStar Y may support skin renewal and improve the appearance of suitable acne scarring and uneven texture. Results depend on scar type, depth and individual response.
No treatment can promise complete removal. The realistic aim is a visible improvement in suitable scarring, texture and associated marks.
Acne marks are usually flat colour changes left after inflammation. True scars involve a change in skin texture, such as indentations or raised tissue. They require different treatment planning.
Yes. We assess the acne stage, scar or mark type, skin type, medication, treatment history and suitability. A patch test may be required before laser treatment.
The number varies with the type and severity of the concern, treatment selected and response. A provisional course is discussed during consultation and reviewed as treatment progresses.
Suitability and risk vary between skin types and concerns. Higher-melanin skin requires particularly careful assessment because inflammation and treatment can trigger unwanted pigment change.
Seek medical advice for severe, painful, cystic, rapidly worsening acne, widespread inflammation, infection, significant scarring or acne that is affecting your wellbeing.
