Medicines, allergies, immune or healing concerns, pregnancy, relevant conditions and recent procedures.
Bring exact information. Product names, doses and dates are more useful than broad descriptions such as “antibiotic” or “skin cream.”
What Can a Patch Test Tell Us?

Recent tanning, sunburn, rash, broken skin, infection or incomplete healing can increase risk.

The pigment, wavelength needs, skin risk or treatment goal may fall outside Pulsar’s appropriate service.
Never stop necessary medicine for a cosmetic appointment
Declare prescribed and non-prescribed medicines and topical products. If medical advice is needed, speak with the appropriate prescriber or pharmacist and postpone the laser appointment.

Why do I need a consultation before tattoo removal?
A consultation allows Pulsar to review the tattoo, skin, tanning, health, medicines, previous reactions and treatment goal before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.
Does a patch test prove laser tattoo removal is safe?
No. A patch test shows the response of a small area to selected settings at that time. It cannot guarantee complete removal or rule out every later reaction.
Can treatment be postponed after a successful patch test?
Yes. New tanning, illness, medicine changes, pregnancy, infection, irritation or incomplete healing can change suitability before a later appointment.
Should I stop prescribed medicine for tattoo removal?
No. Do not stop prescribed medicine to keep a cosmetic appointment. Tell Pulsar what you take and obtain advice from the appropriate prescriber or pharmacist if needed.
Can Pulsar assess my tattoo from a photograph?
Photographs and measurements can help with an initial discussion or estimate, but they do not replace an in-person skin, tattoo and medical assessment where treatment suitability is being decided.
