Accurate laser information
Asclepion NanoStar Y SMP Removal
Pulsar uses the German-engineered Asclepion NanoStar Y active Q-switched nanosecond laser. We do not describe this service as pico treatment. Short laser pulses create a photoacoustic effect within suitable pigment so it can fragment and be gradually processed by the body.
1064 nm Assessment
Commonly selected for black and other suitable darker pigments after assessing colour, skin type, depth and patch-test response.
532 nm Assessment
May be considered for suitable warm-toned components where clinically appropriate. Cosmetic pigment blends can respond unpredictably.
Required Patch Test
A patch test helps us observe immediate and delayed response before a wider area is treated, although it cannot guarantee every pigment layer's response.
Important: SMP pigments are not all manufactured or implanted in the same way. Mixed pigment, depth, density, layering, previous treatment and individual healing can affect the result. Significant fading or clearance may be possible, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

Do I need full removal or only selective fading?⌄
Not everyone needs full removal. Selective fading may be appropriate for a harsh hairline, isolated dark areas, oversized dots or preparation before independently arranged correction work.
How many sessions will I need?⌄
