Only Suitable Benign Moles and Lesions Are Treated
Pulsar can treat suitable benign moles and other appropriate lesions with CryoPen following assessment. We do not treat a mole or lesion that is suspected to be cancerous, changing, irregular, unusually pigmented, bleeding without explanation or otherwise uncertain. In those circumstances we will advise an appropriate assessment through your GP, dermatologist or our Map My Mole consultant-review pathway before any CryoPen treatment is considered.
From assessment to healing
How CryoPen Skin Tag Treatment Works
CryoPen delivers a controlled jet of nitrous oxide to rapidly freeze suitable target tissue. The treated tissue then changes and heals gradually; it is not physically cut away during the appointment.
Consultation
For £20, we review the lesion, its history, location, size, your skin and any relevant health information.
Suitability Decision
If the lesion is uncertain or outside our treatment scope, we do not freeze it and explain the appropriate next step.
Targeted Treatment
For a suitable lesion, CryoPen is applied in a controlled way while limiting unnecessary contact with surrounding skin.
Immediate Response
A brief cold sting, redness, swelling or whitening can occur immediately after treatment.
Natural Healing
The area may darken, blister or form a small crust before gradually settling. Do not pick the treated tissue.
Review if Required
Some lesions respond after one treatment; larger, thicker or resistant lesions may require another assessment and session.

Skin tags are the main focus of this service. Selected other benign lesions may be considered following assessment, but treatment is never based on a website description or photograph alone.

Lesions We Will Not Freeze
- Suspected cancerous, suspicious or uncertain moles and lesions
- New or changing lesions requiring medical assessment
- Lesions that are bleeding, ulcerated, infected or actively inflamed
- Areas where treatment risk is not acceptable for your skin or health
- Milia or facial bumps unless assessment confirms an appropriate treatment method
Preparation and recovery
Before and After CryoPen Treatment
Follow the individual advice provided at your appointment. Healing varies with lesion type, depth, location, skin response and the amount of tissue treated.
Prepare the Area
- Arrive with the area clean and free from makeup, fake tan and heavy products
- Do not pick, cut, tie off or irritate the lesion before your appointment
- Tell us about medication, allergies, circulation concerns, healing problems or health changes
- Bring any previous medical opinion if the lesion has already been assessed
- Send a clear photograph first if you are unsure whether to book
Support Healing
- Keep the area clean and avoid rubbing, scratching or picking
- Do not deliberately burst blisters or remove crusts
- Avoid friction, swimming, hot tubs, saunas and excessive heat while the area is vulnerable
- Use sun protection once the skin has healed if the area is exposed
- Contact the clinic if pain, redness, heat, swelling or discharge is worsening

The consultation and suitability check costs £20. Treatment prices are confirmed after assessing the lesion type, number, size, location and likely treatment time.

The £20 consultation covers assessment and suitability checking. “From £75” applies to a suitable single-lesion treatment, while three suitable areas start from £120. Some appointments may require assessment only, referral or a different treatment plan. Complete clearance cannot be guaranteed.
