Can Map My Mole diagnose skin cancer?⌄
The consultant report provides a professional opinion from the submitted images and information, but images alone cannot give a definitive tissue diagnosis. If cancer is suspected, face-to-face medical assessment and a biopsy may be required.
What happens if the report raises concern?⌄
The report will advise you to see your GP or a dermatologist. Arrange that follow-up promptly and take the report with you. Map My Mole states that its team also follows up when a consultant reports a mole or lesion of concern.
Do you remove moles at Pulsar?⌄
No. Pulsar does not biopsy or remove moles. Any investigation or treatment recommended in the report must be arranged through your GP, NHS dermatology or an appropriate private medical specialist.
Can I book if my mole is changing or bleeding?⌄
Yes. A changing, painful, itchy, inflamed, bleeding or crusty mole should be assessed promptly. Map My Mole can provide a focused opinion from a UK consultant dermatologist, usually within 24–48 hours. Can I choose the Chorley clinic instead?⌄
