Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) at Pulsar Laser Studio
Hair loss solution. Instant confidence boost.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical, cosmetic tattoo technique that simulates the look of natural hair follicles. Whether you’re experiencing thinning hair, alopecia, or want to add density to a hair transplant, SMP offers a realistic and long-lasting solution for both men and women.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
SMP involves implanting tiny pigment dots into the scalp using micro-needles, replicating the appearance of a close buzz cut or thicker hair density. It’s a precise, artistic procedure performed over several sessions for the most natural results.

Who can benefit from SMP?
SMP is suitable for both men and women seeking to address various forms of hair loss, including pattern baldness, alopecia, and hair thinning. Whether you're looking to enhance your existing hairline, camouflage scars, or create the illusion of a fuller head of hair, SMP offers a versatile and effective solution.

Pre-Treatment Guidance
To prepare for your SMP session:
-
Wash your scalp thoroughly the night before and the morning of your session
-
Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours before treatment — these can increase sensitivity
-
Moisturise your scalp daily for 3–5 days before your appointment (unless oily or acne-prone)
-
Do not shave or cut your hair 24 hours before unless advised otherwise
-
Avoid sunburn and excessive sun exposure on the scalp for at least 1 week prior

SMP Aftercare
Immediately After Each Session (Days 1–4):
-
Avoid washing your scalp or getting it wet
-
No sweating – avoid the gym, sauna, or heavy exercise
-
No touching, scratching, or picking the area
-
Keep your scalp dry and clean
Day 5–7:
-
You may gently wash your scalp with water only
-
Avoid shampoo or harsh products
-
Still avoid excessive sweating and sun exposure
Day 7–10:

You can resume light physical activity
-
Do not shave the area until after day 10 (unless otherwise advised)

Long-Term Maintenance

-
Avoid prolonged sun exposure and tanning beds

Consider annual top-ups every 3–5 years to maintain definition and tone
